Susan Potter is an experienced and dedicated business and personal life coach. She has a B.S. in Behavior Analysis from the University of North Texas and completed additional graduate work in Business Administration at the University of Dallas. Committed to life-long learning and inspiring others to thrive, Susan continues to study in the fields of Positive Psychology and Coaching, and is an International Coach Federation (ICF) credentialed Associate Certified Coach (ACC).
Susan brings both business and life experiences to her coaching. She had a long-tenure career in the telecommunications industry that encompassed human resources, graphics training and graphics production management within a large corporation. She was known for maximizing individual and team results, and was recognized with multiple corporate leadership awards. Susan’s life experiences include a decades-long dual-career marriage, the demands of being a working mother while completing her college education, the joys of being a grandparent, and the challenges of having a large, diverse and geographically dispersed extended family. She has successfully faced many of life’s most stressful events herself or with her family and friends, including health issues, death of parents and friends, relocation and career transition and becoming an empty nester. Her reputation for being trustworthy and someone who sees the greatness in others is widely acknowledged by her personal and professional coaching networks.
Susan excels in her natural talent to help others discover (or re-discover) their passion and purpose. Once that is accomplished, Susan expertly uses her coaching skills to inspire each client to employ their own unique strengths to design their personal plan for achieving their dreams. Based on each client’s goals, she uses a variety of coaching tools and methods which focus on awareness and accountability, including the proven process of Mindset for Success (The Dialogues). Susan’s typical client is someone who seeks greater fulfillment, significance and balance in their career and personal life. Many of her clients are future coaches and individuals “in transition” to new careers or the next phase of their life.
In addition to owning her own thriving coaching business, Susan serves as Training Director for the Gardner Institute and is on the coach training faculty. She is a member of the International Coach Federation (ICF), International Positive Psychology Association (IPPA), and a number of community and women’s organizations. As a community service, she provides StrengthsFinder 2.0 debriefs and coaching for a job seekers focus group.
Susan sums up both her life and her coaching with this simple, yet profound mantra: Gratitude, Grace, Growth.
