Jim Slaughter
As an Air Force officer, local church pastor, professor and counselor, Jim brings a wide background of ability and experience to the coaching process. He graduated with his bachelor’s degree from the University of Oklahoma, and as an Air Force captain during the Vietnam era, trained combat air crews with the Strategic Air Command. After leaving the Air Force, Jim earned his master’s degree and Ph.D. at Dallas Theological seminary, joining the faculty there after serving a seven year pastorate in California. In addition to teaching at Dallas Seminary, Jim has taught at the University of North Texas and at Amberton University in Dallas. His teaching extends to conferences, workshops, and retreats, and he has contributed to magazine and professional journals through numerous published articles.
Jim’s pastoral and relational skills are evident, and for many years, he has counseled men and women needing help with academic, vocational, and relational issues. Though he is a certified counselor, Jim’s own life has been brought to a higher, happier place by his journey through The Dialogues, which he now uses to enhance thelives of others. As a life coach, he inspires and empowers people to live in their dreams and have the life they have always wanted. He enjoys helping people become happier, healthier, and wealthier through the time-tested Dialogues mentoring process.
Jim is married to Ann, and h as three grown children with two teenage girls still at home. They live in Fort Worth, Texas.
