Robin Newland

Robin began her professional life in the Savings and Loan industry in Southern California. After moving to Texas in 1978, she helped open a new Savings and Loan with a focus on branch banking which was a new concept in Texas at the time. Robin also worked in the Mortgage Lending side of the industry, worked in development and fundraising, as well as having worked with small businesses in helping to prepare them for sale.

Robin has volunteered with the Fort Worth Independent School district having held numerous board positions over the years, has been active in teaching Mortimer Adler’s Junior Great Books program and is also trained to teach the Sathya Sai Baba Education in Human Values program, now instituted in the public schools of numerous countries throughout the world. Robin has used her skills as a Rape Crisis and Victim’s services interventionist for the Women’s Center in Fort Worth. Additionally, Robin is qualified as a court appointed Mediator in the State of Texas and is trained in suits affecting the parent-child relationship and other family disputes. Robin is a current member of the International Coach Federation and the North Texas Chapter. She will be completing her Wired toWin training in August of 2008.

Many of Robin’s interests are spiritual in nature. She is deeply steeped in teachings and practices from around the globe and has traveled to India several times to learn from the ancient Vedic traditions found there.  She has also led and facilitated groups such as A Course in Miracles, The Law of Attraction, and led a ladies meditation group for several years. Coaching is a natural fit for Robin and she holds an expanded world view while understanding that true empowerment is the alignment of one’s innermost core with the thoughts and words that ultimately manifest as outer deeds and successes in one’s life.
