Kyle Steadham

Say What?

Kyle Steadham, Independent Mindset for Success CoahHowdy! I grew up in East Texas between a Dairy Queen and a washateria. And, although I still have the twang, I paved my own path from those dreadful bookends into professional coaching in North Dallas.

Who Does This Guy Work With?

My typical clients include:

Ambitious, seasoned human resources/training/OD professional who seeks to raise the bar for their growth
Academicians eager to move forward into advanced studies and career development
Typically males willing and able to make personal changes to produce effective relationships

Using ICF professional guidelines, specialized assessments, or Mindset for Success, you’ll experience a structured process aimed at generating a clear pathway for your personal or professional success.  Here's what I'm looking for in the people I coach:

  • An action-oriented attitude
  • Sense of humor
  • Willing to look at challenges from different and even controversial perspectives
  • Appreciative for the strengths and talents they have
  • Excited about adventure and success
  • Can afford coaching without having to switch from Eatzi’s Market and Bakery to Long John Silver’s

With coaching, clients report they are better able to:

  • Identify and champion personal strengths rather than a sole focus on weaknesses
  • Overcome personal obstacles by reframing the past, present, and future
  • Achieve professional goals and at a more robust pace
  • Generate greater self-awareness and development of new skills

I’m unique in that I maintain a small number of clients to whom I dedicate myself. I have a very fulfilling full-time career that leads me all over the United States. Although my coaching business in on a part-time basis, should we work together, you’ll receive my full attention. If you have difficulty taking time during the workday for coaching, we may be a good fit. I’m available after traditional business hours and weekends.

What Does this Guy Do?

Although I love to hear myself talk, coaching is about YOU. My goal is help you find your own answers and convert them into action. Here’s an overview of the process:

  1. Clarify Needs – We will clarify your goals, objectives, strengths and current state. Tools such as Strength Finders 2.0, MBTI, HBDI, TKI, or DISC can help you discover where you are today and where you want to be in the future.
  2. Clear out Baggage – Identify and remove any mental clutter or barriers preventing success.
  3. Create Game Plan – We will design action-oriented goals that are specific, measureable, and time-framed.
  4. Conquer & Celebrate – We will determine ways to measure progress, accountability, and celebrate successes.

Who’s this Guy on a Resume?

I have over 15 years of progressive human resources management experience positions such as employee relations, staffing, and education. My specialty includes the development and delivery of leadership development, coaching, and organizational development initiatives. I also earned several human resources certifications, including: Senior Professional in Human Resources, Certified Compensation Professional, Certified Benefits Professional, Certified Professional in Learning and Performance, and Associate Certified Coach. I received a BBA in Management from Texas A&M University, an MBA in Human Resources Management from University of Dallas, and an EdD in Higher Education from Texas A&M University-Commerce.

Who’s the Guy in Person?

Okay, what’s the substance behind the fancy credentials? Let me introduce you to the real me. I'm not a guru! My life isn't perfect. While I maximize my strengths every day, I'm, in fact, very human. I enjoy watching Aggie football games, Comedy Central, Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim, home improvement, spending time with friends and family, community service, and happy hours. I manage a cat named after the mother of the late Anna Nicole Smith, Virgie, because she sits around the house all day living off my hard-earned money.

At any rate, if you're looking for a coach with a perfect life, I can quickly bow out.

Yet, I love adventure- every day. I'm excited about the energy and success we can bring to our personal goals, relationships, our careers, our businesses, and how much fun we can have without getting a citation.
